VIVA LA REVOLUCION – A DIALOGUE WITH THE URBAN LANDSCAPE

EUA, 2010

"Viva la Revolucion" at the Museum of Contemporary Art in San Diego was an exhibition that celebrated the urban landscape as a platform for the expression of many artists as well as in public places throughout the city. 20 artists from 10 different countries participated in this exhibition – they are all connected by how their works address urban issues. For this exhibition, OSGEMEOS worked with improvisation – they didn’t buy or bring with them any specific materials for the realization of the pieces. The location dictated the works because it was a warehouse where all kinds of materials and objects were stored. This is where they found and selected all the components to compose the large paintings. For this exhibition, they also established a dialogue with the external space of the museum, by painting the mural "Don’t Believe the Hype".
